David Blunkett, Britain's Secretary of State for Work and Pension, reportedly told a woman half his age he wants to have children with her.
According to the Sunday Times, friends of Anderson, an estate agent from Ascot in Berkshire, revealed the relationship had become "intimate" rather than "platonic".
However, Anderson's friends are also reported as saying they believe she and Blunkett are victims of a political set up and that the disclosure of their relationship on the eve of Labour's conference was no coincidence.
29-year-old friend Sally Anderson has told the Daily Mail of her relationship with the 'deeply passionate' Cabinet Minister, David Blunkett.
According to The News of the World, 2 October 2005, Sally has been seeing her lover, Andrew King, behind David Blunkett's back.
Miss Anderson, is half the age of David Blunkett, the 58-year-old Work and Pensions Secretary.
Acording to The Mail:
Mr Blunkett was introduced by a mutual friend to Miss Anderson at London nightclub Annabel's and they hit it off immediately.
They have since been on numerous dates, including one at Berkshire stately home Cliveden, where former Tory minister John Profumo began his affair with call girl Christine Keeler.
Miss Anderson has been a regular visitor to Mr Blunkett's London house, and she has introduced him to her friends in Ascot.
Miss Anderson has split from her fiancé Neil Gomersal, 37, and moved out of his £500,000 townhouse in Ascot.
He was said to be 'gutted' at first, having spent thousands on an engagement ring.
Mr Blunkett became Work and Pensions Secretary after the election, having been forced to resign as Home Secretary last December following his affair with Kimberly Quinn.
He quit when it emerged that his private office had intervened in a visa application from 44-year-old Mrs Quinn's Filipina nanny.
